Folklore
The festivals of the Alpujarra are influenced by the numerous cultures that have lived in it, characterising the region with a great folkloric richness that has survived until today.
Each town celebrates its Patron Saint's day with a "romeria", a town feast where people dance and eat, always together with a lot of fireworks.
